History: During Ashley's time with her aunt, shortly before she left in search of her parents, she found it while she was walking on the outskirts of Halloween Town. She picked it up and it shot a white light from the tip. During one of her battles, she almost lost it, but she realized it had her impression on the handle. This meant that any other person who tried to grab it was blocked out and this "shield" was only penetrated by the true owner.
