Searching the Castle

Daimos walks through the halls of Hollow Bastion, on some errand. He gets to the chapel and slowly pushes the doors open. He looks around then folds his arms. "Hmm...looks like it isn't here...guess I'll have to keep looking." He says then continues further into the castle.

Kairi enters as well and slowly sneaks up behind Daimos, giggling softly. She suddenly taps him on the shoulder. "Whatcha doin'?!" She asks loudly.

Daimos turns around and grins slightly. "Hm? Kairi, long time no see! What're you doing here?" He asks and folds his arms. "What have you been up to? You kind of disappeared for a while...or maybe it was when I left." Daimos says as he looks away in thought.

Kairi laughs. "I think we both left for a while, although you were gone a lot longer than I was." She sticks her tongue out at him then smiles. "I had to be alone for a while... You know, think about things, try to recoup from the past. Same old stuff. You never answered my question though." She raises her eyebrow slightly. "What exactly are you doing here?"

Daimos looks back at her. "Oh, um..well you know me, always looking for the next big treasure. I'm greedy, what can I say? I'm actually here because I heard there's one hidden deep under the castle. Only problem is, I can't find the secret entrance." Daimos says as he searches the room. "Hey, how about giving me a hand, yeah?" Daimos calls across the room while searching one of the walls.

"Only if I get a cut of whatever we end up finding!!" She laughs again and proceeds to check the wall opposite him. "Do you know what kinda of secret entrance we are looking for? A panel in the wall? A turning bookcase, maybe?"

Daimos shakes his head. "No clue, I'm tempted to start blowing holes in everything just to find it...or I could just rip the whole damn top half of the castle off...might be quicker that way." Daimos says.

Kairi giggles. "Same old Daimos, always wreaking havoc." She turns slightly and starts checking the wall to the side of her. "Where did you hear about this super secret treasure, anyways?"

"Just the same thing as every other treasure, it's valuable, really valuable. So that's why I'm here to find it, so I can either own it...or sell it." Daimos explains as he knocks on the wall with his ear close to it. He stops in a particular spot and knocks more then narrows his eyes. He steps back then generates a small but powerful burst of energy in his hand. He thrusts his hand at the wall, blowing it open on contact and sending chunks of rock thudding throughout the room. He looks over his shoulder at her and grins. "Heh, found it." He says then nods towards the opening before walking through it.

Mitsuki and Tsukiya, both in their Kitsune forms, ran down the hallway to where Daimos was. "We found the-" Tsukiya stopped what he was saying and looked at the wall. "What happened here?" Mitsuki asked turning her head to look from the wall to Daimos.

"I blew a hole in the wall, I found the entrance to the lower levels, let's go you two. Be on your guard though, ok? There's no telling what's down here."" Daimos says as he walks over and kneels down to them.

"So I guess this isn't the time to tell you we found the secret entrance. Is it?" Mitsuki said while slowly walking down the broken walkway, followed by Tsukiya.

"Wait, you found another entrance? Where?" Daimos asks as he follows them then steps in front of them. He kneels down again. "Do you two think you can show me where it is?" Daimos asks.

Tsukiya turned around and looked up to Kairi. He pointed a finger to her. "Who is she?"

Daimos looks up at her then stands up and gestures for her to come over. "This is my good friend Kairi, she's going to be helping us with the treasure hunt, ok?" Daimos says as he places his hand on her shoulder and smiles then looks down at Tsukiya.

Kairi walks a little closer to them. "Hi there." She waves shyly, but then puts her arm down, embarrassed. "You're Daimos' and Haruko's children, right?"

Tsukiya and Mitsuki both nodded, not knowing what to say to her. "The entrance was down the hall and then to the left." Mitsuki said looking down and walking past the two. Tsukiya smiled to Kairi, walking past them and following his sister. "Come. This way."

Daimos and Kairi follow behind the children as they lead them to the entrance. "Resourceful, aren't they? Pretty strong too, too bad I wasn't around when they were first growing up..." Daimos says and looks down.

Kairi laughs slightly. "I can only imagine what they would have turn out like if you had!"

Daimos laughs slightly and shakes his head. "Yeah, you've got a point. But still, it's the fact that I'm their father and wasn't there to see them grow up until now. Well at least I'm here now....for the time being, at least. Hey you two, how much farther is it?" Daimos asks.

Both stop at a dead end and look back at Daimos. "Its right here." Mitsuki said as she pushed a brick on the wall. The area around them started to shake and the wall moved to the side, opening a path that lead down beneath the castle.

Daimos walks up and stands between them looking into the opening. He grins and places his hands on their heads. "Not bad you two, very impressive, I'm proud of you." He says and ruffles Tsukiya's hair and pinches one of Mitsuki's ears. "Ms. Kairi's gonna be coming along with us, so I'm gonna need you two to watch her back." He kneels down and pulls them a little closer. "She isn't the best fighter in the world, you know?" He whispers then stands up again. He cracks his knuckles then gestures them onward. "Let's go you three, we've got a treasure to find! And remember, be on your guard, there's no telling what could be waiting down here." Daimos warns as his eyes' color changes to blood red then turn cat-like. They begin to walk down the tunnel, heading into the depths of Hollow Bastion.

Nero hears faint footsteps down the tunnel and hides in a crevice at the top of the tunnel.

"Wait!" Mitsuki yelled. "I just heard something from within the tunnel." Tsukiya looked to Mitsuki and then to Daimos. "She is not laying. I heard something as well. There is something else here." Tsukiya agreed.
