Soldier's Shadow (open to everyone)

Jonathan leaned back against one of the trees. His swords were stuck in the tree next to him. Right now though, he wasn't really paying attantion to the world around him. He was deep in thought, deep in memory.



Everything around him was in flames. He was trapped. No way out. What happened? Street Vipers. He'd had some dealings with that gang in the past, but now that deal was off. Date? Two years ago. To the date. What happened? He had been asked to make a hit, after specifically saying that he wouldn't do that. After refusing three times, he'd been thrown out. Literally. An hour later, a few of them showed up at his palce and threw a few molotov cocktails in. One of them broke near Jonathan and cut his eye, giving him the scar he still has today.



Jonathan moved ahead with a start. That memory again. he thought to himself as he touched his scar. Even now, two years later, it still tended to burn slightly. Falling back against the tree, the flashback resumed.



Jonathan looked around for an exit. There wasn't one. All the exits were blocked by either flames, timbers, or both. Looking to one side, though, he noticed one window that was open. Here goes. he thought to himself as he gathered energy in his hands. "Blizzard's Wake!" came the shout and the flames died down temporarily as Jonathan rushed towards the window. Clutching his eye, he made his way away from his house. He needed some help.

Kilam walked up to Jonathan. "Are you okay sir?" He asked.

"hey Kilam what are you doing here? watching him cautiously

Jonathan awoke with a start, fist drawn ack, but when he realized who it was, he let his fist fall to his side. "It's nothing." he said, grabbing his swords and making his way away from the two newcomers.

" anything you want to talk about." following jon.

"Dante What are....Kilam....Dante What Are You Doing Here?"

Jonathan kept walking, not saying a word to anybody. He wasn't ready to talk about his past to any one, and unless someone managed to "sweet talk" him into opening up about how he got his scar. All in all, though, he was about ready to slice the next person's head off if they asked about his past again.

chris was walking when he saw everyone and noticed jonahtan's scar he wanted to ask about it but thought it was better not to since he looked like he was already in a bad mood...moments later chris got bored and started cutting every tree in his path,untill he got to the others,"what are you guys doing here?",chris asked waiting for an answer

"If you say so. I just wanted to see if I could help out. Kilam said.

Jonathan continued to the edge of the beach, touching his hand to the water. Freezing a path long enough for him to get to the other islands simply by walking, Jonathan started walking, saying nothing.

((GASP! JOO BROKE DA LAWZ OF OCEANZ))

Kilam silently followed.

"hmph"chris walked up to jonathan,"hmm,so your that bounty hunter i've been hearing about...i thought you looked familiar"

Jonathan cause all the ice behind where he was standing to melt, and all the ice in front of him to melt, only forming floes where he was about to step when his foot was about to touch that area.

((try to god-mod your way out of that one, chris. And no, I didn't break any of the rules of physics. Salt water can be frozen, it's just that it's salt content lowers the freezing temperature.))

"Very nice ability." Kilam said, constantly portaling around Jonathan.



((Wasn't thinking when I said that. XD))

Jonathan stuck his hand down just above the water and froze an arena with nine holes in it so Kilam didn't have to keep portaling around him, but creating extremely high walls so Chris couldn't get in. "What do you say to a style match?" he said, hoping to catch Kilam off guard.

"Sounds nice. Any specific rules?"Kilam asked.

"Just that you don't hurt your opponent." Jonathan said. He really didn't know just what he was doing, but so long as it kept people off his back, he was fine.

Jonathan smiled. "The point is to do your moves more stylish than your opponent. This isn't really a fight more than a challenge." Jonathan turned towards the center of the arena.

"Hm.... Sounds new. I guess I'll give it a try." Kilam said.

chris stood there "hmph,guess there's nothin' to do around here anymore..."

Jonathan gestured to the arena. "You're first." he said to Kilam.

"I rather see you try first." Kilam insisted.

Jonathan knew exactly why Kilam wanted him to go first. He didn't trust him, which was fine. Starting with a basic Counterspin, Jonathan then dived into one of the holes. The water was fairly warm, and since he knew exactly when and where the blades would pass over each other, he jumped through a hole at just the right moment, caught the blades, twisted, and stabbed them into the ground as he did.

Kilam shrugged and spun his Hell Spear around him. He threw it high into the air and jumped up to it, with flames following him. He caught it, flipped and threw it into the ice, before landing on it.
